Sabistyle News April 2008

Thank you all for showing up to the Kuroda Geta Event that we hosted from March 7 through 9.

It was a more than expected turn-out, with lots of positive feedback from our customers. Watching a geta craftsman make a pair of geta isnft an everyday event even in Japan, so it was a great cultural and educational experience for all of us that took part.

Mr. and Mrs. Kuroda brought in different geta bases (called dai) and fabric thong (called hanao) from Japan.

This is what makes their geta so unique- we get to choose the dai and hanao to fit our preferencec.and from so many choices, too.

Part of the experience for the customers was talking with Mr. Kuroda as he made and fitted each pair. Ifm sure all of you that got to meet him were thoroughly entertained by his humorous personality.

We had a lot of fun working with the Kuroda couple in putting a wonderful event together and we hope to have them back for another show in the near future!
