About Hideki Yamamoto
Hideki Yamamoto is
an up and coming potter who runs a kiln in a mountainous
area near Imari, Saga Prefecture, home of ceramics
in Japan. His work is influenced by the long history
of pottery in Imari and his father who is also an
artist.
Yamamotofs work embodies unique sharpness and elegant
curves at the same time. His versatile design is
gaining popularity in the culinary world, from professional
chefs specializing in both Japanese and French cuisines.
1965 Born in Imari city, Saga Prefecture
1983 Begins apprenticeship under under Shiro Ban-ura
in Igaueno.
1995 Opens own kiln in Yamauchi-cho, Saga Prefecture
